Bourscheid Castle: The Curtain Wall

Buerschent Castle commands a bend in the Sauer River in the north of Luxembourg. The Castle itself dates back to the 11th century, though the curtain wall is from the 14th. The Donjon rises above the entire castle, as the last place of refuge in the case a besieger managed to overcome the curtain wall.
