Description
Fort Thüngen ("The Three Glands", "D'Dräi Eechelen") seen from the perspective of the enemy. The fort guards a hill opposite Luxembourg City. The famous French fortress architect Vauban suggested to built a fort here, where the French had installed their battery to bombard the city, though the current remains date from the period where there was a Prussian garrison in Luxembourg (1815-1867).
