The Seven Churches

The Seven Churches (Na Seacht dTeampaill, according to the Internet) on Inis Mór (Inishmore, Aran Island, Co. Galway, Ireland) near Eoghanacht are actually only two, but may be so named because the pilgrimage to Rome included the tour of seven. They are part of an early to middle medieval monastic site. Teampall Bhreacain (St. Brecan) was built and remodelled from the 8th to the 13th century. Teampall an Phoill (the Church of the Hollow) is 15th century. With them comes an old cemetary.
